Hempstead Scholars Shine at the NMEA All-County PEAK Festival
Eleven fourth-grade scholars from Barack Obama Elementary School, Rhodes Academy, and Jackson Main Elementary School proudly represented the Hempstead Union Free School District at the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-County PEAK (Parents, Educators and Kids) Festival on Saturday, November 22, held at Freeport High School.
The PEAK Festival brought together students, families, and educators from across Nassau County in a vibrant celebration of music and the arts. Our young performers showcased their growing talents through choral singing, drumming, ukulele performance, and expressive movement, demonstrating the creativity and dedication nurtured within our schools.
This meaningful experience highlighted the importance of arts education and the strong support system that empowers Hempstead scholars to excel. We extend our gratitude to the teachers, administrators, and families who encouraged and guided our students throughout this enriching journey.
